First Change: Personal Tragedy (born a tribal princess of the Red Nation Nama in Namibia's Kalahari Basin, known as Kinfolk to the Mayo'i Simba, her father the chief was nevertheless a loyal partisan to the Amadu dark lion, Black Tooth and his pan-African super-Pride, the Endless Storm; Ismitta was groomed as a future wife for one of Black Tooth's Simba stooges but also allowed to gain an advanced education; she chose to attend university abroad in New York to escape the pressure, where she Westernized herself somewhat; she also met Kihiga Nau here, and his anti-Black Tooth agenda combined with his handsome Trueborn gravitas attracted the princess and they fell in love; after finishing school, her father called her home, and she reluctantly left Kihiga and America behind; once home, her father berated her for time spent with Kihiga and general infidelity; she flew into a rage as a ferocious Crinos Simba, shocking all with the unexpected change--she was expected only to be Kin; after knocking her father on his butt, she fled into the desert and sought Mayo'i guidance), 2008

Transition: Shift in Purpose (armed with this knowledge, she alerted Kihiga back in America, and he and other Simba joined with her to rally the shapeshifter forces in South Africa against Black Tooth and the Endless Storm--seeds of the Ahadi coalition; this sense of justice coinciding with or even prevailing over attracted the approval of the King of Cats himself, becoming her Jamak patron)
Past Life
Magnitude: She remembers as far back as the German genocide of her people in the Nama-Herero Wars and Shark Island.
Details: While her ancestral memories often fill her with just rage and righteous impetus, she connects best with a Simba Queen who defied all the odds and ruled her pride with dignity, wisdom, and strength for decades back in the 16th-century: a werelioness named !U-tsai.

Ismitta's pride and royal upbringing means she believes, she knows, that she should be queen. Nobody can tell her otherwise and she will hurt those who try to stop her. Of course, who would try to stop her? Compared to Black Tooth (or even Kihiga), she's a saint.

Low.
She's not interested in becoming a queen that rules through foully stolen dark spells and witchcraft.
